Gold fell upside down from record breaking height of six months, know today’s latest rates
Gold Price Today: Gold prices remained stable on Friday. In the last trade, Gold Rate had reached the highest level of seven months. On MCX, gold futures remained steady at Rs 52,885 per 10 grams. Whereas, in futures trade, the silver rate has risen by 0.4 per cent to Rs 61,216 per kg. In the previous session, gold had reached Rs 53,200. In global markets, gold is present around $1,765 an ounce. The recent fall in the Dollar Index has supported the precious metals. The weak dollar has made these metals cheaper for foreign buyers.
Inflation in America affected by data-
Experts say that last year, Comax gold closed at $1,769.4 an ounce, up 5.54 per cent. The reason behind this is the fall in inflation in America and uncertainty in the US mid-term elections. US 2-year and 10-year Treasury yields have declined by 31 basis points last week.
According to experts, in view of the rise in prices, investors are getting attracted back towards gold. This is indicated by the inflows in SPDR Gold ETF. This week the focus will be on US retail sales figures. Experts said that better data than usual will help in recovery in the US dollar, which will not be true for gold and silver.
Ups and downs are expected to continue
According to experts, gold may remain volatile until there is some clear signal from the Federal Reserve. This week’s response from the US Federal Reserve and stronger-than-expected retail sales data have ended some hopes of an aggressive rate hike in the US. According to a Reuters poll, the Fed is expected to hike rates by a smaller 50 basis points in December. Before this, there has been a big increase of 75 basis points in the policy rate for four consecutive times.
On the other hand, talking about the domestic market, gold fell by Rs 161 to Rs 53,235 per 10 grams in Delhi’s bullion market on Thursday. Apart from this, the price of silver also fell by Rs 1,111 to Rs 61,958 per kg.
